Well, these pictures came out backwards but didn't feel like deleting them and starting over. The last one is right before I had Colin! The others are at his birthday party! We are so blessed to have such a wonderful happy baby! Colin is doing great! He started taking steps at 11 months and actually started walking at 11 1/2 months. He is very active and gets around very good now! He cracks me up just walking around the house like he knows what he is doing!!! He loves playing with toys and loves the new car Matt and I got him for his birthday! He loves our dog chip (ch as Colin calls him) so cute! He gives the best hugs and kisses ever! I will post more pictures soon! Don't have too much time right now. Stats last time we went to the Dr.: 23 lbs, 30 in long. We go back Thursday and will post new stats then! This is me one year ago. Can't really see a good picture of my belly but Colin is in there and almost ready to come out to see us! I remember this picture actually, and remember how excited I was and couldn't wait to meet my precious Colin. I loved him so much here and didn't think I could possibly love him more when he came out! Boy do I!!! I love him more and more everyday. He is learning so much so fast and amazes me everyday with new things. My most favorite things is when he looks up and just gives me the biggest smile or when he walks/crawls as fast as he can when he sees me coming to pick him up from daycare! I love that he knows me now and will hug and kiss on me. Colin has the best kisses, slobber and all!!! I am going to post pictures soon of his Birthday party! We mostly had just family (we have a large family) and just a couple others!! I will post after Colin turns 1 on Thursday!!! I love you my wonderful husband and my most precious son...... You are the best!!!!

So we went on vacation to Destin May 16-23! It was so wonderful to get away but the weather ended up being really cold and we only got to go to the beach 1-2 times. We sure did LOVE the shopping and just the relaxation we got! I am posting a few pictures from vacation! Colin had his 9 month check up yesterday! He is soooooooo big!!! hahah He was 22 lb and 29 in long. I didn't get the rest b/c I met Matt and Colin at the Dr. after all that happened! hahah So anyway Dr. Buckle said he is going to be a really big boy!!! and boy do I believe him! He is doing great and getting around really good these days! He is cruising and has stood up 2-3 times without holding on to anything! He still eats baby food levels 2 and 3 and drinks 6 oz of milk about every 4 hours. Sleeping has gotten much, much better since he was sick! He will eat the puffs for a snack. I was a little concerned b/c he couldn't eat food from the table (every time we try he chokes or gags really bad) I talked to Dr. Buckle about this and he said it was normal that he just wasn't ready and that he was plenty big so try about once a week to give him something from the table and see how he does, but not to force the food to him. Well tonight we had waffles and so I thought maybe he could eat a little if I made it really small!!! He did so good and he really loved it!!! That makes me a feel a little better! Hopefully he will start eating a lot more!!! So Matt and I are doing great! We are both working a lot and enjoying our time with Colin in the afternoons/evenings! We love the stage Colin is in but boy can he make you tired!!! hahah! Also we have our house up for sale for any who are interested!!! Teleah Carter has it listed! We love our home and are gonna have Chris build us another one....We plan to do this several times!! So that is what is going on in our neck of the woods hope you enjoy the pictures!

Well it has been a little while since I have blogged! A lot has been going on in our world since Easter! Colin wasn't feeling too good on a Sunday so I kept him home from Church and decided I would take him to the Dr the next day to make sure he didn't have ear infections etc...I figured I would just take him into daycare after the Dr.'s appt. Boy was I wrong....He had strep throat and both ears were infected. So he stayed home for a few days and went back later in the week and the Dr wanted us to see Dr Cosby about his ears. Well we took him the next week for that Dr. appt and Dr Cosby said he definitely needed tubes to help his ear infections. So he scheduled the surgery. Well on the following Sunday he woke up yet again with a high fever and very lethargic. He just wasn't himself at all. So I took him to the Dr. office on Monday and I was there at 7:30-they didn't open until 8. I was the third one to sign the sheet and we waited almost 4 hours.(the Dr.'s started using a new computer system that day so it took forever) Well after Colin had to get an x-ray and his finger pricked for blood, Dr. ski came back in to tell us he had pneumonia and laryngitis. To keep him out of daycare until Wed or when his fever went down. Well his fever was down so he went back to daycare Wed. well Wed night he started violently throwing up. Matt and I looked at each other and said, "oh my gosh we need to call the Dr." So I called the nurses line and they said oh that all sounds normal. We didn't think that was very normal at all, so I called first thing the next day and they said to bring him back in, that did not sound normal. So I took him back in and waited about 3 1/2 hours that day and got to see Dr Buckle (our favorite) He spent about 30 min in the room with us explaining many things that we did not know. He also took him off lots of medicine that I wasn't comfortable with him taking in the first place. He gave us a new type inhaler for his breathing treatments because if any of you have ever seen my child, you know that he will NOT sit still for a 15 min (or longer)for a breathing tx. This is so much easier and takes literally on a few seconds. He is so cute when you go to put the mask on, he just opens his little mouth like he knows what to do. It has really helped with not only keeping his asthma under control, but also his acid reflux has improved a little! So he is finally feeling more like himself on Friday (oh by the way Dr. Buckle said we should have left him out of daycare the whole week not tried to take him back). he is scheduled for surgery on Monday for his tubes. We got to the hospital Monday morning at 5:45 wow that was definitely early for me! He was in and out of surgery and he seems to be feeling better than ever! He is back to his old self which we have missed so much! Now for the fun part!!! Colin is doing so much. He is a very very very fast crawler! He knows when we say NO! (he turns and looks at us with sad eyes)! He will give great big hugs when you pick him up. He "kisses" our cheeks!!! his is cruising I think is what they call it! when he stands he can hold on to the table/pack n play and walk around it holding on. He always lets go thinking he can stand there by himself! He loves a bath, he hates lotion and getting his clothes on he would rather be in a diaper only! He loves to play peek a boo! He is never still and wants to be in anything and everything possible! He also loves to unplug everything at our house! He is back to sleeping good (after the rough patch through being sick). And he loves the camera. Every time I turn my camera on it makes a noise and he looks up and gives the biggest smile you will ever see! So that is what all has been going on! We are leaving for vacation Saturday and we can't wait! We are going to the beach! I will take lots of pictures and post when I get back! Have a great rest of the week and weekend!

Hi everyone! I have not posted in a while we have been staying busy around here!!! Colin is growing way too fast!!! But I love to watch all the new things he does! He is crawling like a mad man! starting to pull up on everything he can get his little paws on! He stands up in his bed!!! He can say Bye Bye and wave!!! He can say Mama and da as well as ba ba!!! he is quite chatty! I think he gets that after me!!! haha He laughs all the time and smiles at anyone who will smile at him or anyone who just looks at him for that matter!!! We count our blessings with our little guy everyday!!! He is not sleeping as good these days! He doesn't take good naps unless he is at home or in the car....you can forget it at daycare!! Too much going on there for him to try and rest! He has also been waking up some at night but we are thinking that is due to 2 more teeth coming in for a total of 4!!! They have broke through so hopefully more restful nights are to come!!! He is still spitting up....We hope that will stop very soon! I know he hates it and we do too! But if that is all that is wrong we are thankful and grateful! I will include a few pictures!

6 month check up

Colin had his 6 month check up last Wed. He is doing good and growing way too fast. I know I say that every time I blog. It is so true, he is doing things this week that he wasn't doing last week. He seems to do something new everyday! He was 17 lb 9 oz. 27 3/4 in long. He eats 5 oz and a jar of baby food 4 x a day. He sits up, rolls everywhere and has started the army crawl! His reflux continue to be very bad. We started him on a new medicine yesterday to help with the spitting up. He still has an ear infection which we are treating with a different antibiotic since the last antibiotic did not clear it up. He smiles at everyone and goes to anyone. He LOVES Chip our dog. If he is upset in any way all we have to do is bring chip around and he will be happy! He smiles and laughs at him everyday. He loves to hug us and smile and laugh. How grateful we are for a healthy baby that God so graciously gave us to have and raise. here are a few of the latest pictures I have taken! Hope you enjoy!

hello to all!!! Quick update.....We are doing pretty good around here. Matt has been working a lot and so have I. I still love my job very much and enjoy being around all my little ladies and few men. They def make my day with crazy stories and hearing the same story everyday!!! I love all the girls I work with they are so much fun and brighten my day! Colin has two teeth now!! They are so cute!!! I tickles me when he smiles real big you can see them! He has been a little more grumpy than usual but everyone keeps telling me it is probably him teething. His appetite has been down a little and he just gets a little more fussy when it is time for sleep or eat. Otherwise he is still very happy! He will be going to get his 6 month shots on Wed so I will have to post then for an update on his stats! He is sitting up pretty good. He still falls over if he reaches for something or just looses his balance! He started on level 2 foods! (lots more variety)! He goes to sleep on his own now. When he starts getting sleepy we just go lay him down in his bed and off to sleep he goes! He is on a really good schedule! He has been on it for a while, so it is just what he expects. He eats at 8 am, 12 pm, 4pm, and 8pm gets his bath and off to sleepy world at 9 pm! He usually wakes anywhere between 6:30 and 7:30 in the morning and very happy when he wakes up!!! Please keep Matt and I in your prayers tomorrow as we travel to Memphis for my yearly check up for my hip. Pray for our travel and for everything to continue to look very good!!! I hope everyone has a great week and I will post soon when we get Colin's stats on Wed!

Hello to all! We are doing pretty good around here. We took Colin to the Dr. today. he wasn't acting himself. He is getting 2 teeth in right now and I couldn't decide if that is what it was or not. His reflux has been extremely bad too as well as a persistent cough so I decided to go ahead and take him. Turns out he has a bad ear infection in one ear and the other is infected but not as bad. He was bouncing off the walls, literally, when the dr was in the room so she got to see lots of spit up!!! She said we have got to get this under control!!! So she switched his formula once again. His wheezing(sp) is still bad so she also put him back on breathing treatments. So this was actually a very good Dr's appt hopefully it will all help. I will keep you updated to how he is doing. He has continued to be very happy through all of his sickness I just pray he gets to feeling better. He is so much fun and I love him more and more everyday. I can't wait to see what his teeth are going to look like. He should have these two come in hopefully in another week. The white is showing through right now and they are very jagged(sp)!!! Can't wait to see what the future holds with our little man. Thank God for all of our blessings!!! Have a great rest of the week. P.S. We are selling our house so if anyone knows someone who is looking give them my number guys!!! Thanks!

We are all healthy and doing good! Colin is growing way to fast!!! He is reaching for us, sitting up a little bit! enjoying all foods. Carrots make him have bad dreams, we think....no more carrots! He sure does brighten our days so much. I can't not imagine life without him. What a miracle and blessing he is. If I seem not to get enough sleep it doesn't matter, b/c when I go to wake Colin up for the day and he looks up and smiles at me it makes my day that much better. I have learned to not worry or get upset about the small things in life. OK so it has been a long week we will say. First of all last Friday Matt, me and Colin went to Jackson and stayed with my very best friend, Alisha for the night. We had a ball just catching up on everything... I will post pictures later of that trip! next we came home Sat morning. Matt and I went hunting Sat afternoon I blasted a doe!!!! Yay for me! Matt had to drag the deer quite a ways and I felt pretty bad about that. any who....all was good Colin did great on his first out of town trip! Sat night around midnight Colin starts making this loud noise like he could not get his breath.....(also those who have babies know how much worse it sounds over the monitor) So Matt and I rush into his room I pick him up first and start hitting him on his back so he can cough up whatever is bothering him. He was still making strange noises so Matt got him and started also hitting him on the back....finally he got ok only then he was scared half to death....I don't know from us hitting him or him not being able to catch his breath!!! Needless to say we first check his temp... nothing, low matter of fact. Then Matt says I am going to wal mart to get a humidifier (sp?) so he can breathe. I said ok I will keep him in here(our room) with me for now. Which those of you who also know Matt and I never keep Colin in our room neither of us sleep well like that. So while Matt is gone, I decide to check Colin's temp again it was rising.... 99.5 I know that is not a lot but for my little man it is. He usually keeps about 97degree so I am getting worried. Matt gets back home I get Colin back to sleep and an hour later the same thing happens again so I pick him up quickly trying to help him....this happened every hour after that. Needless to say Matt nor myself got much sleep that night and we were going to take the little man to north MS medical clinic on Sunday afternoon to make sure we could wait to go see his pediatrician on Monday and didn't need to go to the ER. Well we got there to sign him in and they said oh Blair how old is he....I say 41/2 months. We don't take them younger than 6 months....I lost it. So I call his Dr's office talk with a nurse who ask lots of questions and ultimately said put him in a steamy room if he gets worse take him to the ER. So Matt put him in a steamy room and he of course got worse. I called Dr. Turner to just see what he thought if we could wait or if I needed to go then. So he listened to him and could here him trying to get his breath over the phone and suggested we should go on to the ER. So we go....they do lots of test and x-rays to find out he had the croup... follow up on wed with his Dr. So we give him steroids, and breathing tx's until we see the Dr. We see Dr. Buckle for the first time and we really liked him by the way. He told us that it was not croup (anymore) that it had moved down to his bronchioles (sp)? It was not in his lungs though. He gave us some cough medicine to give him to help him not cough so bad. He is doing better but still has a mean sounding cough. He was unable to go to Daycare all week so we will just say he has been spoiled staying home for the week. He will return tomorrow which should be very interesting for his teachers!!! His teachers are so wonderful and we are very thankful and blessed to have such wonderful ladies to keep our little man!!! anyway so it was a very crazy week to say the least!!! I hope this week will be better!! I hope everyone else is staying healthy this time of year! Hope to post pictures soon!!! Have a blessed week! Oh I will say Colin is changing so much everyday. He is rolling over lots now. Will sit up for just a few seconds before falling, holding everything in his hands....and taking everything to his mouth!!! He is a mess and we love him more and more everyday! Thank you Lord for blessing me with the most wonderful husband and most precious child......

Hello to all! I hope everyone had a very blessed Christmas! I know we are so blessed to have Colin here with us this year. He did very well with everyone holding/passing him around. He went to see Santa and he did good, he really liked his fur coat!! He kept touching it!! our Christmas card is below along with lots of pictures! Colin is doing great he is growing way too fast. (I know I say that with every blog but it is so true) He can now hold his bottle as of today!!! He had been trying but hadn't yet been able to until today. He is holding his toys and chewing on everything! He loves the baby Guinness DVDs!!! he laughs at them and always smiles really big!!! I had to take him to the Dr. for what I thought was a cold but Dr. Ski said it was acid reflux. I was thinking no way, I was totally against him in the beginning. I did what the Dr. ordered decreasing food amount to 1/2 of what he is used to adding cereal to every bottle giving Zantac 2 x a day and what do you know snotty nose gone, spit up gone!!! I felt like a bad mother. I had no idea that he even had acid reflux. but he is better now and that is all that matters!!! anyway that is what is going on in our world. Matt and I are doing well. My last day at Baptist was today. It was very sad to leave, but I know it will be for the best. I start at the nursing home next week. Matt has been working a lot, but we aren't complaining we are just thankful we both have jobs right now with the economy the way it is!!! Hope everyone has a great new year and be safe!!!

Well it has been a while since I have last blogged. So what has been going on??? Colin is growing way to fast....He is recognizing his name now, trying to roll over, knows Matt and myself when he sees us or hears us! laughs out loud, loves his bouncy seat now, loves to look at the TV also he love the Christmas tree, we look at it every night and talk about the ornaments!

I have started back to work. It was very hard to leave him at daycare, however, I know he is being taken care of well. He smiles at his teachers every morning when I drop him off. Work has been going good, just really busy lately. I have found it is very hard to keep everything in order the way it needs to be at home, work and spend time with Matt and Colin. Matt and I decided that It would be best for me to work PRN (as needed) only. So Starting at the beginning of the year I will be working only a few days a week at trinity and the hospital if they need me. I am very excited about this so I will be able to spend more time with the family. I really love my job at the hospital, and I hate I am having to leave but I think it will be best for us as a family. So that has been what is going on in our neck of the woods! I sure hope everyone has a great rest of the week!

We dedicated Colin Sunday at Church which was a very special and meaningful time for us as a family. Matt's parents came, and his sisters family came, my grandparents, brother and my parents. It was a very wonderful time for us to be able to announce publicly that we as Colin's parents are going to dedicate bringing him to church every week, as parents we will continue to be number one to God first of all, then to each other and then to Colin. I was really getting the last two mixed up. I always thought you were supposed to put your child after God then your marriage. Well it was explained to us last week that you need to continue to have a strong marriage for your children to look up to. If your marriage isn't strong how can you be good parents together???(I am not saying you can't be good parents separately, but together your marriage has to be strong enough to withstand anything especially parenting). So Matt and I both have taken this very serious in that we will be the very best people, be the best examples, and be the most loving parents we know how to be. Also we will continue to seek God for everything and in every situation. well I tried to upload the pictures we took Sunday before Church but the computer is acting strange. I will try again tomorrow!

Well, Well, I will start out by telling about chips shots b/c he went first! Chip is our dog for those who don't know. He is a 5 lb chihuahua which was our child before Colin was born. Well he doesn't take to well to shots, last year when he got them, I had to take him back b/c of an allergic reaction. So this year our vet said she would give him a steroid shot first so he would not break out like last time. She also instructed us to go ahead and start giving him benadryl every 4 hours. So I was thinking surly after all of this he will not react this year. Well it wasn't but about 1 1/2 hours after we got home and our little one looked like a bull dog. His face/snout was so huge and his eyes were almost shut they were so swollen. So I called the vets office back and they said to wait a little longer and see if it wouldn't go down. We had to go and get Colin's shots and 1:30 so I gave him another dose of benadryl before we left and prayed he would not be dead when we got home. He wasn't and he was a little better when we came home to check on him.... He did throw up approximately 5 times and it was sooo gross. Colin did very good with his shots, he of coarse screamed when the nurse gave them to him, but afterwards he was fine. He never got a fever and he didn't even act like his legs were sore. (he is a tough little rascal)!!! anyway glad those are over for now! Colin weighed in at 13 lbs and 5 ozs at 9weeks old. He doesn't miss a meal that is for sure. He is now on a great schedule sleeping until 5:30 every morning! He usually goes down between 9:00-10:30. I couldn't ask for more. The time is approaching for me to return to work:( I am already sad thinking about it. Oh and thanks to all who have been praying for us about a daycare. St. Paul's called today and said they had someone to leave or not come so they could take Colin now! Praise the Lord! God sure does answer prayers! I was totally happy with just making do until Jan. But I think this will be good for him to get into a good schedule. So thanks again for the prayers! That is about all that is going on around here. Matt is about to go back on for his week of working:( How sad, but I have enjoyed him being off with us for a week! I went to B'ham on Sat to a show that my mom and dad were working!Matt kept Colin here(he couldn't miss the Alabama game) ROLL TIDE!!! I had so much fun! I went with a lady that works with my mom and her two daughters. It was a blast! I sure did miss my two favorite men though! I got Colin a couple of things to wear around the Christmas season! That is about all! It was fun to look though!

For Halloween we went and saw all the relatives!!! It was so much fun! Colin was so good until he got to my parents house, then he decided to cut up! I think he was just tired of the riding a bit, getting out of a car seat, being held by new people etc.... But Matt and I had a blast taking him to see his great-grandparents and grandparents! Oh and I have kind of a funny/very embarrassing story. I was so excited about Halloween night, our neighbors Nick and Michelle were coming over for a min. to give Colin a little happy!!! and He was sleeping, but it was time for him to wake up, so I went ahead and woke him up so Michelle could hold him a min. well as soon as I gave him to her, she says uh Blair is he leaking??? I was thinking surely not, well he was and he peed all over her. To top it off they were just about to go out to eat because they had company over from out of town. Colin did have a different diaper on than normal, but never the less, I was still very embarrassed. So they left quickly:( and I got Colin out of his pee clothes and gave him a bath, put him in his pumpkin outfit and finished making supper, Stacy, Randy, Tommy and Bailey came over to trick of treat!!! How fun both of them looked so cute! I swear Tommy changes every time I see him and Bailey is getting so big!! Time sure does fly. Anyway, I was so very embarrassed about the pee situation and Nick and Michelle if you are reading this, again I apologize and please come back to see us!!! Well it has been a crazy couple of weeks! first of all Colin is doing great:) Growing like a weed! He is doing more and more each day. He has really started smiling and giggling now which absolutely melts our heart. He has figured out me and Matt our who he sees most! He is following/tracking me around the room now. It is so sweet! He is sleeping good. Some nights he will sleep all night and other nights he will wake up between 3:30 and 4:30. It isn't bad except knowing that he can sleep through the night, but I have no fear, he will get this sleeping thing down eventually. Thanks to all those who have voted for Colin. He still needs quite a few to win, so if you haven't voted please do so!!! (see below post for details) For the major news that has been taking over my life it seems.....Colin had a spot at First Methodist, yes what we have heard is the best day care in town. I will be the first to say, that is not so. I was promised a spot and told not to worry about a thing one week before Colin was born. Well I just called up there to make sure everything was still as planned, and what does the director say???? Colin doesn't have a spot I am sorry. I was very, very upset and explained to the director that SHE told me he was in now what has happened and when were you going to let me know? she said well let me check a few things and I will call you back. Well she doesn't call me back for a few days, so I call her back. She wasn't there and I left a message. She still doesn't call me back, I call back again and talk with another lady at the daycare, she says she doesn't see where the problem is, he should have a spot. So I thought good maybe it was just miscommunication. well the director was supposed to call me back for a definite yes or no. Surprise, surprise she doesn't call me back. So I call back again, and she says nope sorry you wont have a spot until the spring. I said the spring, my child had a spot in November now he will not be able to come until the spring. Well I had not put his name in anywhere else because I signed up with them when I was 8 weeks pregnant so I figured he would have a spot. I will admit that is my fault I should have had him in multiple places just in case, but now I don't have anyone to keep my child when I go back to work. I have called every daycare in Columbus, just about, and no one can take him until at least Jan. So my thoughts.....I would not send my child to first Methodist if that was the last place to send him. Oh and those of you who know Jenny Caldwell.... Same thing has happened to her. So it is not just me that they have put in a bind. Matt is back on shift work so he will be able to keep him some during the week and I guess I will piece something together until Jan. ok now that I have gotten all that out....I did have a doctors appt this week in Memphis with a spine specialist. I have been having back pain since I was about 7 months pregnant, but I thought it would go away after he was born and it didn't. So I had multiple x-rays taken and he says it looks like there is a stress fracture on one of my vertebra which is why it has been hurting so badly. He gave me some prescriptions and wants to see me back in 5 weeks, if it isn't better he will have to get better pictures of the spine. So that is my doctors report. The medicine hasn't really helped all that much yet, maybe it takes a little bit to help??? anyway that is about it I guess, oh and Colin hates to go to town to shop, just like a man!!! Every time Matt and I take him somewhere he starts screaming! So we just leave where ever we are so we don't disturb others. He is perfectly fine at our house, in the car (as long as we are moving) and going to others houses. I don't know what has gotten into our little man not wanting to go to public places!!! I guess that is all for now! I will try and post pictures soon. My camera is in the other room so can't upload the pictures!!!

My best friend Alisha is having a little boy! I am so excited for her and can't wait for our little boys meet. A little background info!!! I met Alisha when I was in school in Jackson. She was so kind to me and took me in while Matt and I lived in Jackson. We became such good friends. we would spend the night at each others houses cause Matt worked nights and her fiance worked out of town. We studied together for every test! We sat be each other every day is class. I miss you so much and can't wait to see you. She is truly one of the sweetest people I have ever known. Her family is also so kind and so generous as well. They would take Matt and I out to eat and always invite us places. They all made us feel so welcome. I can't wait to see you!!! I am so happy for you!! children are such a blessing and will make you love your life more than you ever know!!! I love you girl! Miss you!

Well, Well, I can't believe my baby is already 6 weeks old. He is so sweet and I can't believe how much he is changing each day. Two days ago, he started "really" smiling at me and Matt. I will make a face at him and he will just smile so big. (as oppose to gas smiles:)) It absolutely melted my heart. He is now on a really good schedule. Which if you know me, you know I live by a schedule. He is sleeping most every night through the night. which is great for me and Matt! He is quite the blessing in our household. We just had our announcements made so hopefully you will be getting them soon, after I address them! I went by my work today to see everyone and pick up something and I talked with my boss about coming back. She gave me the option to work four 9 hour days and have a day off. I can go in an hour early and get paper work done and still leave at 4 or 4:30 and I will have a whole day off! How wonderful! I have truly been blessed with my work situation. They accommodated me so well while I was pregnant and now are giving me this option. We are so blessed in so many ways. I thank GOD everyday for all the big and small blessings of life. I will return to work Nov. 24th after 12 weeks of maternity leave. Colin gets his shots Nov. 5th. Matt will be able to go with me thank goodness. I will be falling apart I am sure! Also, I wanted to add, to watch Matt with Colin melts my heart. He loves that boy more than anything in this world. Matt had Colin on his knee bouncing him to some music the other day, and Colin was just a smiling at him. It was the sweetest thing I had ever seen.

Hello to all, not much time but did want to write in Colin's stats from his Dr. Appt today. He is a whopping 10 lb 12 oz. Yeah he eats a lot!!! and he is 22 3/4 long. He is going to be all grown up before I know it. He is doing great. Waking up once during the night for a little food, then goes right back down for the rest of the night. He is quite a blessing in our household. He is certainly getting spoiled too. I decided it will be ok to spoil him now because you really only get to "hold" them for a year before they don't want to be held anymore and want to walk everywhere. That is my logical thinking behind making it ok to spoil him:) He really is a good baby and we are soooo in love with him. I will post new pictures soon. Things are going good here. Colin is so precious and changing every day. He is getting more and more alert everyday and seems to know Matt and I. We go back to Dr. Ski for his 4/5 weeks check up next Tuesday. I can't wait to see how much weight he has gained and if he has gotten any longer. We think he has! We have had to change formulas because the one we were using was making him go to the b-room too much, the Dr. told us to change to the soy milk formula, and well that makes his tummy hurt. I can't stand to see him hurt. He would scream at the top of his lungs and kick his feet out, oh it just about made me cry:( Anyway I have changed him back to his other formula and he seems to be handling it fine. We will see tho. He hasn't screamed anymore which make me very happy. I hope everyone enjoys the pictures above! until next time.....

I went to the Dr. today for another check up! Everything is looking really good! I only have to clean the outside of my incision now which is wonderful! Everything else is looking good and I don't have to go back for 3 more weeks! yay! anyway! I am enjoying motherhood so much and am amazed each day with the new things my little man can do. He is much more alert these days and sleeping better at night! (knock on wood it stays that way) He is a chunk and eats 5 oz's about every 4 hours! He is going to be a big boy! He is such a good baby and so sweet! We are so blessed for God to give us this wonderful opportunity. I will forever be grateful! I hope everyone is having a good week and I will be posting again soon! I can't take enough pictures of Colin, I have a full memory card devoted to just him!!! I would say I am a little obsessed! I went to the Dr. yesterday and everything is looking up for now! No more packing the incision, he wants it to heal up on its own now! That made my day, that's for sure! I had some pretty bad swelling after Colin was born in my right leg, which my co-worker massaged out. I was able to put my brace and shoes on to walk yesterday! that is also a blessing, no more crutches! Matt is home with me today (it is his day off) he has helped me so much and I am so thankful for him being here. My mom has been staying with us some to help with the nights! Thank goodness for moms! Mine is especially the best! anyway I have taken lots of pictures and I will try to keep this blog updated! Thanks for all the prayers I know God is listening! I also wanted to thank everyone for bringing us dinners! That is so kind and helps out so much not to have to worry about cooking something! I am so thankful for all our wonderful friends! Thanks again!

I am so excited to get pictures of Colin on here. I can not tell you how much this little fellow has made our lives so much more special. He is the biggest blessing that I have ever received from God and I will continue to thank him everyday for allowing Matt and I to have such a wonderful baby boy. Colin is doing great and measuring very good. We had our one week check up on Wed and Dr. Ski said he was doing great! What better words could we hear from the Dr??? That made our day! He has got his days and nights a little messed up and the Dr. told us some things to help that. He has done much better the last two nights! What has been going on with me since the c-section??? I did not get sick after being put to sleep which I am so thankful for. (that would have been very painful to be sick after getting your stomach cut into)! I don't remember too much about the day he was born. I only remember bits and pieces! But come 12 A.M. wed morning, I was up and ready to see my baby! I kept Matt up all night saying please call the nursery and get them to bring him down here. I waited til morning so I could be good and rested to spend all day with him on Thurs! It was very hard! I did have an allergic reaction to the adhesive they used on my skin after sewing me up which cause a terrible rash/burn. It is looking better now and hopefully will get better very fast! Last night I got up to feed Colin and when I was done, I stood up and I had blood all over me, I of coarse started to freak out! Matt, all the time trying to get Colin back to sleep and see about me in the mean time. Well my incision opened up and was bleeding out. I called the On-call Dr. and she said just to wait until morning and come to the office. I saw Dr. Betcher and he ended up opening my incision some more after getting lots of drainage out, everything is fine and nothing is infected, however, Home health is going to have to come out to pack where he opened it up. They are going to try and teach my mom and Matt how to pack it so they will not have to come out for 2 weeks. I am just so glad it isn't infected! other than that things are absolutely wonderful! Matt has been wonderful taking care of me and Colin. I am also so lucky to have such a wonderful husband! anyway, here are pictures of Colin, I hope everyone enjoys!!!

Tomorrow Sept 3rd is the big day! We are so excited and neither of us are too nervous! My amnio went well this morning and we got the results back this afternoon that his lungs are for sure matured! I will go in tomorrow at 9:30 and I hope to have him by lunch if all goes well! Please keep us in your prayers during the next few days as we bring this little life into the world! Oh and I did try to post pictures, however, my card would not read on the computer for some reason. I will have to get Matt to look at it when he has time! will post when we get home from the hospital! Hopefully Friday or Sat.

Hello everyone! Matt and I are just about to bust for excitement! I had a Dr. appt today and the baby looks great! He is already measuring 7 lb 5 oz! That is pretty big for 36 1/2 weeks! The Ultrasound lady said he has a head full of hair and yes, he is still a he!!! I am going in Tue at 7:30 for the amnio. They will have to put an IV in and watch me for several hours after he does it to make sure I do ok and the baby does ok. Dr. Otey will know that afternoon if his lungs are ready, if they are, He is going to do the c-section Wed morning!!! I can not tell everyone how ready and excited we are! Please con't to keep us in your prayers and I will keep everyone updated! Oh and I promise I am going to get pictures up tomorrow. My Grandmother and Mom are coming over any minute now to help clean the house up and get everything organized and ready for Colin to arrive! So be checking for pictures of Colin's room tomorrow! I had a doctors appt this morning, and all is still looking/measuring good! I will go back on the 28th to have an ultrasound done to see how big he is. He will do the amniocentesis the next week, if all results are good he said he could do the section that same afternoon, (that is if he can get the results back that soon)! I am still trying to work which has become very hard. But I really want to at least try for 2 more weeks. I think it will help the time go by faster and that will be more time with Colin after he arrives! I am going to try to post some pictures of Colin's nursery! It is almost done! I am also going to try and post some pictures from some showers! But for now I am going to take a nap since I woke up at 4 this morning and well, I have been up ever since!!! I guess God is preparing me for sleep deprivation!!! I hope everyone has a good day!

I had a Dr's appt today, which many of you know that I have been having quite a hard time lately as far as pain in my hip. The Dr is going to try and take Colin the first of September if he is ready. I will have an amniocentesis done to make sure his lungs are ready closer to time. I was very excited to hear the news today and it takes a big relief off me knowing hopefully only 4 more weeks!!! The Dr. wants me off my feet as much as I possibly can be to help with the pain. I am still working and going to try to stay at least 2 or 3 more weeks or until he is born. I am doing this so I can stay home with him for longer and have time to get over the c-section. I ask if you will please keep me in your prayers during this time as well as little Colin, for his lungs to be ready by Sept. Thanks to all!!! I hope everyone has a wonderful week:)

My parents are getting us a rocking chair to go in his room whenever we pick out which one we want!! I will post a picture when we get everything set up the way we want it!

I had a Doctors appt last Thursday and everything is looking good. I have started to swell in my feet really bad so I am trying to stay off of them as much as possible. I am working a lot shorter days, which has really helped out a lot. I will be going to the Dr. every 2 weeks now!!! Yeah, it makes me feel like it is getting closer. Less than 2 months to go!!! Sept. 15 is still the C-section date, which I asked the doctor on Thurs. if he thought it might be sooner, he said no, more than likely it will stay Sept 15. which is fine I am just getting very anxious and ready to see this little guy!

3 year anniversary

Matt and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary on Wed. We have had a wonderful 3 years and hope to have many, many more wonderful years ahead of us. We are most grateful for our miracle on the way! (of course)!!! and have experienced many things in these three years of which none we would ever take back! We decided to get a video camera for each other so we can have lots of home videos of little Colin when he arrives!

Matt took this picture last week and I feel like I am growing by the day:) We have been so busy lately feeling like we are hardly at home, and when I am, I am so tired all I can do is lie down. I guess that would be the definition of pregnancy huh!!! We are enjoying feeling little Colin moving often and Matt and I talk to him all the time. I had an appt Tue. Everything is measuring good and looking good. In other news, Bailey (see below) is doing good and gaining wt appropriately. Matt and I went over to see the family Monday, and she was just as precious as ever. Work is going good. It is much better as far as on my body in the outpatient setting. I could not see myself going to the hospital to work. It bothers me to walk very short distances now with the extra weight on. I always have to have someone go with me to wal-mart to get everything, all I can do is make sure everything is in the buggy! I really don't feel bad at all as long as I don't do too much walking, sitting or standing!!! If I balance it out we are all good! Anyway, enough about all that! I hope everyone is doing great and staying cool for the summer. That is all for now!!!

Hello everyone, Went to the Doctor yesterday. Everything looks really good! I feel like I am growing by the minute!!! We did get Colin's bed put together and it is so cute!!! I love it and can't wait for the little man to get here. Matt and I have been pretty busy trying to get the house all ready. We got our yard landscaped this week and we love it. It makes our house look so much more complete. We went and registered and Toys R us and Target. We will register at wal-mart very soon. We had so much fun and didn't realize how serious they are at Toys R us. They mean business there. I have been feeling good for the most part. I have had some increased back and hip pain lately (which is normal and was aware would happen) and will be moving to the outpatient setting of the hospital so it will not be near as much walking and standing and much more sitting. It will be nice for the remainder of the pregnancy, but I will definitely want my inpatient job back when I go back to work:) Other than that everything is going dandy. I hope everyone has a great Memorial day weekend! I will post pictures soon of Colin's room!!! I forgot to tell everyone that Matt and I have changed Colin's name to Colin Jake Wozniak instead of Matt Colin Wozniak Jr. Matt decided he didn't want to have a Jr. Go figure....

The second one looks like me, I sucked my thumb forever and it looks like little Colin is taking right after his mama!!! We also have this last picture in 3D and you can actually see his thumb going into his mouth. It is really neat what they can do with technology these days!!! Colin was very wild yesterday during the US. He would kick and punch those arms and legs like crazy. I still cannot feel those movements yet but to see them just made me smile:) I have started feeling little butterflies in my stomach which some people tell me is the baby moving!!! Even better news is that everything looks great with no neural tube defects and all the other structures look great too. They did a full examination from head to toe and they saw nothing that made them think there could be anything wrong. We are just beside ourselves and don't know what to say but...We are soooo excited and blessed! God has really shown his blessings to us to be able to have a child. It was very hard the first few months, but after all the nausea and emotional situations go away and you hear that everything looks good you then realize that those hard months were not so hard at all. We cannot wait for the future but are definitely enjoying the time we have to get prepared now. I will post pictures tomorrow since it is late. I will also reveal the name tomorrow too!!!

We went to the Doctor Monday! We heard the heart beat and it was good and strong!!! The Doctor and the nurse thinks girl!!! We don't care, just healthy!!! I had some blood work done to check my thyroid with some symptoms I have been having, he wanted to make sure that was ok. We have an appointment April 11 with the specialist in Memphis, so please keep us in your prayers for that. They will be checking for neural tube defects. I have been sleeping better these last couple of nights. He told me to take Tylenol PM and boy it sure does help. When I read on the directions-take 2 me and Matt looked at each other and said TWO??? Needless to say I only took 1 and it did the trick fine. To tell the truth I could probably take 1/2 of 1. I hope maybe this will get my sleep pattern back on track. Anyway, that is all for now. I will continue to post my reports from my doctors visits!!! Oh and we should be able to find out boy/girl next Friday!!! Yay!!!

It is funny, it seems every time I want to take a picture Matt is on the phone:) Oh well I guess it turned out kinda cute! I have about 15 pictures it seems with him on the phone!!! Just wanted to update everyone on how everything is going. I go back to the Doctor Monday for a check up. We will listen to the heart beat and stuff like that. Hopefully, in about two weeks I will go back to Amory and find out the sex of the baby:) We can't wait to find out!!! These last couple of weeks have been kind of rough for me. I have actually felt much better this week as far as being sick. But the emotional hormones have hit hard. I feel so terrible for Matt, but he has sure been good to me during this time. I have explained the feeling like this... anything and everything hurts my feelings and I will cry over it. I am usually not like this and can usually snap myself out of anything that really bothers me and just pray about it. I feel like I am praying ever waking minute and can't snap myself out of the emotional roller coaster my body has me on. I have felt better toward the end of this week (with more sleep) and have been less emotional. Maybe my hormones are leveling off? I hope so! Anyway I wanted to post a picture of the LOVE of my life for being so good to me during this rough time!!! He is sure the best husband I could ever ask for and I appreciate him for everything he does. I will update again after the appointment Monday!!! Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Went to the Dr. Friday! Everything looks great! The heart beat was 178 and measuring a little further along than I actually am! In about 7 weeks, or so, I will be sent to Memphis to a specialist to see if the baby has Spina Bifida (what I was born with). If all looks good with the doctors there, I will not have the amniocentesis done. So everyone please keep us in your prayers for good news. Overall, I will not complain. I have had my days of nausea, but I think it could be worse! I am feeling better this last week or so. I have a picture and will try and post tomorrow! My Wonderful Husband took me to Jackson for the weekend for my Birthday:) We had an absolute wonderful time. We stayed with one of my friends I graduated with. She was so sweet and made us feel so at home:) Thank you Alisha for welcoming us in your home! We went shopping and got some new things for the house. We loved looking at baby clothes, but since we don't know the sex of the baby yet we have decided to wait to buy anything until then! Thank everyone for the great advice from the previous post. I am sleeping much better now!!!!

Matt and I are so excited to announce that we are expecting our first child!!! We are so excited, but still very nervous. I am almost 9 weeks now and we have seen the heart beat. But something about still being in the first trimester makes me nervous. I am trying to relax and know that God is in control. I have overall felt good, with some nausea and many sleepless nights. If anyone has any advice about the sleepless nights please give it to me:) It just seems that I can't get confortable in any position. Please keep us in your prayers throughout the pregnancy. I will update as I go to the doctor and new info arises!!!! I hope everyone is having a great February and Happy V-day tomorrow!

Hello everyone! I know it has been forever since I have posted. Not too much to post about I guess! Our Christmas was wonderful! We had so much fun seeing family and getting to catch up with everyone! My Cousin got Engaged over the Christmas break and we got to talk about wedding stuff!!! Fun stuff! Congrats to Mary Clare and Bart!!! **Her ring is absolutely beautiful*** Matt and I have both been busy with work! Matt just went on a schedule, finally! He will be working 4 days on, 4 days off! We are so excited. This is something we have prayed about for a while, that his schedule would be manageable! My job is wonderful! I really enjoy working with all the patients at the hospital! They really bring light to my day! They make me realize why I went into the medical field. I had a little scare a couple of weeks ago! I have recently had a hip replacement and the Dr. was in fear that it could be infected. I rushed to Memphis to get some test performed and all ended up being fine! I wanted to thank everyone who was praying for me! We could really feel the prayers being lifted up! Praise God everything was fine! I guess that is all for now! Maybe it will not be too long before the next post! Everyone have a great weekend!

Soooo...... This is actually Matt and my first time to decorate for Christmas at our house. Since we lived out-of-town, we never decorated b/c we were never there for Christmas. We had a blast picking the tree out and decorating it together. Matt and I were off this week for vacation. We went to B'ham and shopped til we dropped for presents. We are all done, now I have to wrap them all! We have enjoyed spending time with each other this week and hate it is almost over:(

So here is the story......

Matt was going hunting and I thought it would be a good challenge for me to go and be quiet. (I know, me being quiet= very funny!) So anyway, I went with him Friday afternoon and I sure wasn't quiet, whatever could be funny, was extra funny because I knew I wasn't supposed to be loud! So I was watching this one deer for about 30 min. and asked Matt if I could try to kill it. keep in mind: I have never shot a gun in my life, but Matt thought I could do it. So the deer was about 215 yards away and Matt talked me through the process of shooting a gun, and I nailed her. I couldn't believe I did it:) Matt said, "I've never shot a deer and it just fall down." Matt's deer always run and they have to look for them! Anyway it was so fun. I can't wait to go back. I am looking for a buck next time so I can mount it in the office!!!

I hope everyone had a great thanksgiving and didn't eat too much:) Matt and I went 3 different places and enjoyed visiting with all the family we haven't seen in a while! Hope everyone has a wonderful week!

Matt had his surgery yesterday morning. He did great! They got all the cancer the first time and didn't have to keep cutting. Matt is having very little pain and went back to work tonight. Please keep him in your prayers for the healing process. He goes back next week to get stitches removed.

I started my new job today and it was wonderful. I had a great first day and hope for many, many more wonderful days ahead of me:) I hope everyone has a wonderful week and weekend!!!

Haven't posted in a while so thought I would let everyone know what has been going on in our life. Salsa is no longer with us:( He got to be too much with chip. They would fight more than play with each other. Salsa thought it would be fun to use the restroom all over the new house. Chip was very easy to house break and I guess we thought Salsa would be the same way (boy was I wrong). As most of you know Matt and I just moved into our new house we built and we decided that maybe just one inside dog was enough. We gave him to someone we know so we can see him anytime we want. It was very hard at the time, but we knew it was for the best. He is doing great and so are we:)

I will be starting a new job at Baptist October 31. I am so excited and can't wait to start. I will miss all my co-workers at Rehab at Work terribly, however, this is where I feel God is leading me to go. I have prayed about this situation and am very pleased and excited about where God is leading me to go.

Matt and I went to the Dr last week to get what we thought was a "wart" taken off Matt's face. But the Dr. said it looked like a cancer spot. They sent the biopsy and said it would be about a week before we would know anything. The Dr called Thursday and told Matt they would have to perform surgery because it was indeed cancer. This has been a very scary time, however, we know the situation is completely in Gods hands. Matt will be having surgery Oct. 30 to rid himself of cancer. The Dr said they would not sew him up until all the cancer is gone. So if everyone would keep us in your prayers at this time. I will keep everyone posted on how he is doing.

I graduated in May of this year with an Occupational therapy assistant degree. With this degree to be a certified therapist you have to take a national board. It has just had me stressed out for about a month. I took my test about two weeks ago and have been waiting to hear the results. Matt called me at work on Tuesday to tell me I PASSED!!! I am so happy and relieved I don't ever have to take that HUGE TEST EVER AGAIN!!!!
Oh and a little update on the pups!!! Chip is coming around it has taken him a little while to adjust to not getting all the attention, but I think he is getting used to it. Salsa on the other hand is an absolute MESS!! He loves Chip and just can't understand why Chip doesn't want to hang out with him. Hopefully they will be the best of friends soon! I sure hope everyone has a blessed rest of the week and weekend.

As many of you may know Matt and I have a wonderful puppy by the name of Chip. If you all know me, you know that Chip is just like my child!!! Matt and I got Chip about two weeks after we got married b/c Matt worked at night and I was lonely. Chip started sleeping with me about 2 days after we got him, so we are extremely close!! Well Matt and I talked it over and since both of us are working full time and are having to leave chip all day, everyday, we decided he might need a playmate!(also the poor face chip makes when we leave him is absolutely pitiful). So we looked around and found him a playmate. We wanted a girl dog but that is a long story So we got Chip a brother and his name is Salsa!!! Salsa loves Chip, but Chip is not so fond of Salsa yet. I think they will grow to love each other it might just take chip a while!! He has been so used to having all the attention for 2 years and now he is having to share the attention. I took some pictures of the dogs so everyone could see!

So...... It has been a really long time since I have blogged. My blog page was messed up for a while and would not let me open up my blog. It is now fixed!!!! (thank you Matt)

Matt and I have officially moved into our house and we LOVE it!!! We are still trying to get everything "fixed up" in the house. We have done a lot I think, still lacking curtains and hanging a few pictures. My wonderful mother is helping me get the curtains sewed this week. I got the cutest fabric at Gumdrop here in Columbus. I can't wait to get them put up so I don't feel so violated by those driving by at night!! We are staying busy with our jobs, especially Matt he is working very long hours right now. Hopefully when the plant starts full production the hours will be better. Well I guess that is all I have now and I promise I am going to get better about posting!!!! I hope everyone has a wonderful week!

Hello to all, I have been pretty bad about keeping up with the blog page (sorry). If all goes as planned we will be moving into our new house Saturday!!! We have been very blessed to have such a wonderful contractor (Chris Clardy) who has worked so hard to finish our house so quickly. Matt and I heard some terrible stories about building a house, and I have to say it has been a piece of cake! Chris has made this experience really easy and FUN! So if any of you out there are thinking of building a house I would highly recommend Chris as a contractor!
I will not be able to get online for a while until we get the net out at the house, but I will post pictures of the house once we are in it and settled!! I hope everyone has a great rest of the week :o)

It has been forever since I have been able to get on and write! I knew I could not keep up once a week. Anyway, Matt and I have been extremely busy with picking out things for our house, going to look at our house, and our jobs. Matt usually does not get off until 7 o'clock so we have lots to do when he gets off.
I am really enjoying my new job and Matt seems to really like his (except for the long hours). I have lots of pictures to post but that will have to be later when I have more time. Matt and I should be moving into our house the end of July:) yay we are so excited! Just wanted to write a small blurb about what has been going on and I hope to post pictures this weekend! I sure hope everyone has a wonderful rest of the week and weekend.
